Wing Chun History
About 300 years ago a Shaolin Nun named Ng Mui watched a fight between a Crane and a Snake. She incorporated the direct striking of the Snake and the simultaneous block and strike of the Crane’s beak into a new fighting style. The new style included avoidance rather than using strength against strength, placing the emphasis on technique rather than muscle power. Wing Chun - Snake and Crane
Ng Mui taught her new system to a young girl called Yim Wing Chun. Wing Chun became famous for her Martial art skills. After marrying she passed on her Kung-Fu knowledge onto her husband. In honor of his wife, Leung Bok Chau named the system after her - “Wing Chun” which means Beautiful Springtime.

Wing Chun - Yip Man

Wing Chun Kung-Fu was always kept a secret fighting knowledge until the late Great Grandmaster Yip Man (1873-1972) openly taught in Hong Kong in 1957.

Great Grandmaster Yip Man
Amongst his students was the famous Bruce Lee who was the first to take Wing Chun Kung-Fu out into the Western world. His displays of Wing Chun speed and efficiency gave such an impression to those who saw him at work, that he started a whole new legacy in the world of Martial arts and is largely responsible for the growth of Wing Chun Worldwide..

Tan Sau Dynamics Training

Dynamics
Dynamics are unique exercises which help to increase natural energy. In Dynamics muscle and joints gain in strength giving a person more confidence when against someone of a larger physique.
Dynamics give body awareness which is vital for martial arts. You will gain more control and power and be able to focus your strength using no more or less than is required. Using Dynamics with Wing Chun techniques gives more confidence when not being able to use traditional stepping or deflection, such as in crowded places (nightclubs etc) Also works in grappling situations. Most of the Dynamics are based on Wing Chun Techniques. Dynamic Resistance Training
